Annual Plan Price Review Policy

Why do plan prices change?

At TeleChoice, we review our plan pricing annually to ensure we can continue providing reliable and high-quality telecommunications services to our customers. The cost of delivering mobile services can change over time due to increases in wholesale supplier charges, network operating costs, market conditions, regulatory charges, and other business expenses. In particular, pricing from our network and service suppliers may increase beyond the rate of inflation.

As part of our annual review process, TeleChoice may adjust plan pricing based on changes to supplier costs and the overall cost of providing our services. We understand that price increases can be difficult and are not decisions we make lightly. We believe in being transparent about how and when we review our pricing so customers know what to expect.

 

How does TeleChoice review pricing?

TeleChoice reviews its mobile and data plan pricing annually.

Following each review, we may decide to increase plan prices based on factors including:

  • Increases in supplier and wholesale network costs 

  • Operational and business expenses 

  • Market and regulatory charges 

  • Inflation and broader economic conditions 

  • Investments in maintaining and improving our services 

Any pricing changes determined through the annual review process will apply to applicable plans from the effective date advised to customers.

 

I am an existing customer – what does this mean for me?

  • If changes are made to your plan pricing following our annual review, we will notify you before the new pricing takes effect.

  • The updated pricing will apply from the date specified in the notification.

  • Customers who join after a pricing update has taken effect will commence on the current advertised plan pricing at the time they sign up.

 

Does this mean prices will increase every year?

Not necessarily. While TeleChoice reviews pricing annually, this does not automatically mean prices will increase every year. Following each review, we may decide that no pricing changes are required.

Any decision to change pricing will depend on supplier costs, market conditions, and the overall cost of delivering our services.

TeleChoice uses parts of Telstra’s 5G, 4G and 3G mobile networks. The service provides 5G coverage reaching at least 75% of the Australian population. The Telstra Wholesale Mobile Network coverage area reaches more than 98.8% of the Australian population and covers more than 1.7m square kilometers of the Australian landmass when using an external antenna.

Yes, new and existing customers can transfer existing numbers. No need to fret about getting a new one, when you can keep your existing mobile number.

Data Banking stores up any remaining and/or unused data allowance included in your plan so you can use it when you need it the most.

Our plans with unlimited international calling can be used to call 20 selected countries only: Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, China, Columbia, Denmark, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, United Kingdom, USA, Vietnam, and Greece.

Things you need to know & do

  • Make sure your email is up to date on our end
    • You can login now and update OR
    • You can contact Customer Service on 1300 83 53 24 and we will update it for you
 
  • You can change your MFA code option (SMS, EMAIL or both) via your ‘Personal Details’ page for post-paid or through ‘My Details’ for Pre-paid

Customers who purchase a TeleChoice NBN plan, are eligible for a 10% discount off a maximum of four TeleChoice month to month SIM only plans.

If more than four month to month SIM only plans are puchased, the discount applies to the lowest four TeleChoice month to month SIM only plans.

Your discount will be applied from your next bill moving forward, after your TeleChoice NBN service has been activated.

If you already have an existing TeleChoice month to month SIM only plan, your discount will be applied from your next bill moving forward, after your TeleChoice NBN service had been activated.

If a customer cancels their TeleChoice NBN plan, then the 10% discount on their TeleChoice month to month SIM only plan ceases.
